Plum FM is a community radio station promoting free expression, where the watchwords are integration of differences, reflection of diversity, speaking out, listening and solidarity.
The “marginalised”, the “social cases” and the “abnormal” have the same right to speak as the “normal”.
By opening up the microphones to them, Jibé, a specialised educator, breaks down the labels that stick to them. Young offenders, disabled people and vulnerable individuals finally feel like they are fully-fledged individuals, ‘just like everyone else’.
However, this formidable tool for social cohesion is proving to be terribly fragile. A crisis is brewing and Jibé’s job is seriously threatened.
