Almanci is the name given to immigrants of Turkish origin living in Europe.
In the heart of the rapidly changing Gumenen neighbourhood, Almanci paints a portrait of a Turkish community in Auray, Britanny.
This documentary questions the attachment to a living space and the feeling of always being tied to somewhere else, of living between two worlds.
Through their testimonies, the contours of a new culture emerge, between nostalgia for ‘back home’ in Turkey and disillusionment with life in France.
